Localisation:

5 fen lateral to GV26

• 5 fen lateral to the midline, at the lateral edge of the nostril
• on the border between the upper and the third of the connecting line between the upper lip and the nose

Category of Points:

Functions:

• dispels Wind and opens the nose

Indication:

• congested nose, nasal discharge, nosebleed, loss of sense of smell, nasal sores and inflammation of the nose, nasal polyps, sinusitis
• Lockjaw, facial paralysis, loss of consciousness

Remarks:

• for congested nose LI 20 is used in conjunction with BL5
• for nosebleed LI19 is used in conjunction with GV23
