Alarm points (Mu Xue)
Current names: Alarm points, Gathering points, Mu- points (Chinese), Bo- points (Japanese). Mu means to gather, convene
All Alarm points are situated on the anterior side of the body, in the chest and abdominal region. Each organ system has a corresponding Alarm point. Similarly to the Transporting points (Shu Xue) they activate the Qi (life force) and Xue (Blood) of the associated organ systems.
In comparison to the Transporting points the Alarm points act more strongly on the Yin- regions, whereas the Transporting points act more on the Qi and the Yang regions.
Similar to the Transporting points the Alarm points are used for diagnosis and treatment. Pain and sensitivity in the Mu- and Shu points indicate a Disharmony in the corresponding organ.
