RenMai Meridians and Acupunctur Points

This reference text of the RenMai-publisher was at its publication the first database-based reference tool for practitioners and students who work with the meridian system.

The RenMai reference site "Meridians and Acupuncture points" is aimed to serve as learning tool and source of information for practitioners and learners. The editors therefore recommend to only use the content of the work on the basis of a well-founded training course and with appropriate professional-legal status. This reference text should not encourage either laymen, or specialists to "heal" the body by pressing points. The references to indications and symptoms are only to be understood in connection with the integration into the overall system.

This reference site consist in the exact description and graphic representation of all 361 acupuncture points plus further 18 extra points. The file structure allows on the one hand the systematic study and reference and on the other hand the free search for e.g. indications, disorders and other terms.

All points are represented with their exact location- with muscular, skeletal and skin depiction, their indications (area of application) by Western and Chinese health theory, as well as additional remarks.

Essential texts over the foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine and shiatsu, as well as an extensive glossary and list of links complete this user friendly referential site.

Via the search function practitioners can quickly verify their observations and their treatment concept and thereby complete it. Students can find useful support in the development of their treatment concepts.

This reference text was first published in 2007 as CD-ROM (ISBN 3-9501913-2-1) for Window based systems. 2016 its content was revised and opened as responsive website for all systems (Windows, Apple, Smartphones etc.).
