Localisation:

with flexed upper arm in a depression at the bottom of the deltoid muscle on the connecting line between LI11 and LI15

Category of Points:

Functions:

• activates the Meridian and alleviates pain
• regulates Qi and dissipates phlegm nodules

Indication:

• discomfort, restricted mobility, weakness and pain of the upper arm and shoulder, hemiplegia, stiff and tense neck, pain in the chest, head, scrofula
• reddened, swollen and painful eyes

Remarks:

• especially when the pain in the upper arm radiates either downwards to the elbow or upwards towards the shoulder
